Campaign comments on mobile phone etiquette

Peter Foot, chairman of the National Campaign for Courtesy, commented in the Daily Mail today on the nuisance that can  be caused by mobile phones on trains.

    What about starting a national campaign for basic telephone etiquette eg announcing yourself before asking a person or department and using the phrase ‘may I speak, to instead of can I speak, to?
